My New Project

Used To Love That

I recently started a new website project. The website is UsedToLoveThat.com. Now I know there are several things you might be thinking. One, that’s an odd name for a site. Or two, that domain is too long for online marketing purposes. I’ll explain number concern number one in this post, but for concern number two, lighten up. I built this site with the intention for all to have fun and enjoy reading. So let me now go into why I started this site, what the site is about, and who’s involved. [Read more...]

Looking For Daily Car News? Check Out The Daily Derbi In This Interview!

Daily Derbi - Chad WaiteTells us about yourself, how you got into marketing, and your style of marketing?

My name is Chad Waite (Hi Andre!). I started DailyDerbi.com, a blog with daily car news and very opinionated content. Our style of marketing comes down to three things: making sure each post is very SEO’d up, relationships with our readers via social channels, and opinionated, original content. There are a lot of other car news sites but none that throw off the curse of ‘non-biased or opinionated’ reporting quite like ours. In fact, the slogan for DailyDerbi.com is “Car news with an unhealthy dose of opinion”.

Interview With The Boys At Proof Eyewear | Mini-Series Post #3

You started the business right out of your garage, now celebrities like Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr are supporting the company. Did you ever think that it’d become so successful as well as ignite a new idea of uniting style with collective compassion?

We had no idea it’d do what it’s done and continues to do. We’ve just been hanging on enjoying the ride. Originally, I was trying to make bamboo ski poles. I couldn’t get it right. In the process I learned all about the characteristics of Bamboo. It’s renewable, it reduces carbon emissions, it grows super fast, its strong. That got me to thinking of other products that we could use bamboo in.

We are a little selfish in the fact that we really created Proof for us. We thought it was cool and wanted to do something different. We weren’t sure if we’d make 10 pair or 10,000 pair, nor did we really care. We just wanted to try it and do it and see what happened. We didn’t start with the idea of making money either. Early on we knew we were onto something great and we decided to tie in the idea of helping others into the business plan. The idea was conceived at nearly the same time. We didn’t want to do one without the other. And they work really well together. [Read more...]

What did your marketing efforts in 2011 include?

A Real OrangeSoda Review

I’m writing this blog post to hopefully settle some issues that are floating around online. You’ve probably read or heard of this OrangeSoda Scam or read some negative OrangeSoda Reviews online. Well, I know this will seem bias since I’ve worked at OrangeSoda for almost 2 years now, but I can honestly say that OrangSoda is not a scam. I’ve been on the fulfillment side of things, specifically SEO, for the past year. So when I read that OrangeSoda is a scam and that they don’t deliver results, I take it kind of personal. I nearly always see positive results for all of my clients. When a client is turned over to me these are my 8 main priorities: [Read more...]

5 Tips For Maslow Marketing

Marketing Mix Blog - Maslow MarketingOne theory in particular has always been easy for me to remember is Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. It’s that pyramid that basically illustrated that an individual can’t rise to the next level until the bottom or current level was satisfied. Here is an extreme example: I can’t worry or put too much thought into my Facebook status until my physical needs of food, water, and shelter are met. Make sense? Sure it does, but have you ever thought about how you could use Maslow to help you market your business from the inside out?
